Board Cortex
Confidential prep for individual board members

Walk into the boardroom having already asked the hard questions.

Board Cortex helps individual board members pressure-test the materials management sent them, spot the gaps management didn't flag, and walk in with the right questions already in hand — for your own preparation, not for circulating.

What Board Cortex does

Structured, private preparation for each board session — not a chatbot, not a way to second-guess management in public. A disciplined, AI-assisted panel that works through the materials you were sent the way a demanding co-director would.

Sharpen your own read

Know exactly what you're being asked to approve, and whether the case actually holds up.

Surface hard questions

Get the questions each type of director is likely to raise, before you're in the room.

Identify gaps and risks

A red/yellow/green register of what's missing across finance, strategy, execution and risk.

Walk in prepared

A sharpened view of the ask and the narrative, so you're not hearing it for the first time in the room.

Who it's for

Board members preparing to walk into a session where the material deserves real scrutiny — privately, for your own preparation.

  • Audit committee members reviewing a budget or financial plan
  • Independent directors preparing for a strategy or expansion proposal
  • Compensation committee members ahead of a succession or incentive decision
  • First-time directors who want a second set of eyes before the meeting

The director panel

Every session is prepared by nine director agents, each with a distinct mandate. Then they read each other's memos and debate: they challenge what they disagree with, a neutral moderator puts the real disagreements back to them, and the panel's conclusions become one coherent report.

Evaluates whether the meeting is well prepared and whether the board can reach a confident decision.

Confidentiality modes

Board materials are sensitive, even when you're the only one reading them. Choose the handling mode that matches what you're comfortable pasting in.

Mode 1
Sanitized mode

For especially sensitive material. Replace company names, figures and sensitive details yourself before pasting — the panel works just as well on sanitized material.

Mode 2
Confidential mode

For real board materials under NDA. The material you submit is never stored; your report is encrypted, visible only to you, and deleted on the schedule you choose.

Mode 3
Enterprise secure mode

Future mode for a dedicated tenant, SSO, audit logs and stronger enterprise controls.

What you receive

A Board Readiness Report — the kind of prep a well-resourced independent director would build before a big meeting, delivered as a structured, print-ready document for your own use.

View a sample report →
  • A Board Readiness Score with a clear verdict — board-ready, needs refinement, or high risk
  • A red / yellow / green issue register across finance, strategy, operations, legal and market
  • The specific questions likely to come up, grouped by director and with prep notes
  • The panel's deliberation — where the nine directors agree, where they split, how each disagreement was settled, and what to ask in the meeting to resolve it
  • A memo from each of the nine directors on the panel — what they'd support, what they'd challenge
  • A sharpened, board-ready version of the executive narrative, so you can see clearly what's actually being proposed
  • An action checklist split into must-probe, should-question, and optional follow-up

How a session is prepared

Step 1

Confidential intake

You share the meeting context, the decision ask, and the materials you received — pasted in or uploaded. For your own use only.

Step 2

Panel deliberation

Nine director agents work through the material against their own mandate, then read each other and debate the points where they disagree.

Step 3

Readiness scoring

Findings are synthesized into a readiness score, an issue register, and a prioritized action checklist.

Step 4

Board Readiness Report

A private report with director memos, likely board questions, and a sharpened view of the narrative — ready before you walk in.
